Cefn Mably Lakes has announced that it has purchased a further two Log Pods for its premiere South Wales fishery.
The venue, situated between Cardiff and Newport, initially purchased five of the camping structures in March for the start of a night-fishing initiative, but such has been the success of the Pods both with fishermen and their families that they have decided to increase the number to seven.
Originally developed for campsites, the Log Pod is a fully insulated timber structure which can sleep up to 6 people in warmth and comfort throughout the year.
Manager of the fishery, Owen Jones, said: ”We are amazed by the success of the Log Pods here at Cefn Mably. Whilst we have had many fishermen using the Log Pods, we have been overwhelmed by the number of families that are coming with them, it is great to see the number of kids that are here and are trying their hand at fishing for the first time”.
