The two-part fly-on-the-wall film stars Pole Fishing's very own editor, Jon Arthur, as he tests Garbolino's flagship G-Max M1 pole. The film is shot in real-time match conditions so you can follow his every move. The warts-and-all footage offers a surprisingly frank, quirky and entertaining insight into a day in the life of the angling journalist and top allrounder.
"I love experimenting with film and thought it would make an amusing little story," Jon explained. "It's a cross between a pole test and a video diary that's deliberately shot in an in-your-face, grungy style. It's meant to be a light hearted project, so I don't mind people realising what a plonker I can be at times. Everything that went on actually happened – right down to me having to strip off to rescue the pole section I accidentally dropped in!
"I enjoyed putting it all together, so if it's popular enough I will hopefully do some more 'point of view' style films in the future."
