Fox Matrix man wins Matchman of the Year title for second year running.
Andy Bennett has retained the Kamasan Matchman of the Year crown after winning the coveted title for the second year in a row.
The Fox Matrix and Bait-Tech backed ace beat a field of top quality opposition in the final weekend of the season at Partridge Lakes, narrowly pulling ahead of his closest rival Jamie Hughes.
Andy managed to avoid a tie for the title with the Maver Midlands Bag ‘Em man on the final day of fishing (which would have seen Jamie take the title on number of wins), after Jamie took the points for a win at Heronbrook and Andy landed second spot at Partridge. The tense action saw Andy end up with 40 points overall, just 4 points ahead of Jamie’s total.
The win not only sees Andy keep the Kamasan trophy on his mantle piece for another year, but also £2k better off.
