One of the most famous and established commercial fisheries in the UK is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a one-off charity competition.
On Saturday, 6th October, Woodland View near Droitwich in Worcestershire is running an event in conjunction with Club Korum that will help raise money for two worthy charities: Macmillan Murses and The Fishing Academy, whose aim is to introduce disadvantaged children into fishing.
It is hoped that the event will attract 100 anglers or more of all different abilities to take part.
Entry is £20 of which £2 will go to charity. On top of this, it is hoped that every contestant raises an additional £5 in sponsorship. There will be a large raffle with tackle prizes kindly donated by Club Korum. Other raffle donations will be gladly received.
A special discounted breakfast of £5 will also be available in the morning of the event.
