Tommy Pickering out for Day One of World Champs in Belgium as England prepare to do battle.
News just in from Belgium, where England are gearing up to take on some of the best anglers around the globe in the World Feeder Champs.
The line-up for the England team sees manager Tommy Pickering out of the action, with the five anglers set to fish tomorrow being:
The choice of the line-up for Day One that has seen Tommy leave himself out is a result of team practice over in Ghent, with the manager full of praise for his anglers. "In practice with the lads it's been amazing just how good they are," said Tommy. "I thought I'd be retiring from the team in my eighties, but with the standard I've seen these guys fish to I'm now sure it's going to be much sooner than that!"
England member Darren Cox was also impressed by how the team had performed up to the competition, citing Tommy's leadership as key to the level that the England squad was fishing at. "Practice went fantastically well and it's obvious that Tommy isn't just looking for success in 2012, but looking to the future too. I can see England dominating this event for the next decade!" said Darren.
