Battle Royale!

Two running water aces clash in epic video feature!
Over the last few years, no angler has won more money on running water than Shakespeare Superteam ace, Tony Marshall. The Loughborough rod has built up a fearsome reputation for catching big weights of roach, skimmers perch and eels – with many claiming him to be the most in form river angler in the Country.

With an equally enviable flowing water record is fellow Shakespeare ace James Robbins. Although James has taken some pretty impressive results on the pole, it is his running line skills that he is famed for – having won some of river fishing’s biggest trophies on the waggler, stickfloat and feeder.

In the February issue of Match Fishing, these two awesome talents are pitted against each other - in a battle to remember on Leicestershire’s River Soar. The rules are simple – James must use only running line tactics, while Tony can only fish the pole.

What is more, the Match Fishing cameras were there to follow the duo through the battle – and recorded a tip packed twenty minute video to accompany the feature. Click here to watch the video now, or pick up the February issue of the magazine to check out the feature.
