Zac Brown wins Maver Match This Final.
Zac Brown has become the third Maver Match This Champion, banking the £50,000 winner's cheque following a close match at Larford on Saturday.

The Preston Innovations Delcac team man weighed in with 52.460kg to clinch victory from former champ Andy Powers by just 960g. 

The 30-year-old from Caterham in Surrey commented: "I still can't believe that I have actually won! I think it will take a while for it to sink in to be honest.

"With an hour and 40 minutes to go, I was lying nowhere, with just a few small carp and F1s in the net. Fortunately for me, I had a late arrival down the edge – and took a good run of carp fishing meat over groundbait. I still didn't think that the 52kg I weighed in would be enough to win though! It wasn't until Andy Powers weighed in that people started telling I had done enough, and I realised I had won!"

Zac, an electrical engineer by trade, plans to use the money to increase his property portfolio. 

In second place, and collecting a cheque for £5,000, was former winner Andy Power with 51.520kg. Middy's Simon Skelton took third spot, and £3,000 in winnings, with a 45.580kg net from Peg 7.
