Important rule clarification for Round One of the 2014 Drennan Knockout Cup.
For all competitors fishing this event, please note that meat in all forms will be banned both as feed and hook bait. Garbolino Lindholme Lakes owner, Neil Grantham, has taken the decision to ban the use of the bait for open matches, but is still happy for it to be used in larger one-off matches where permission is previously granted by him.

However, Match Fishing editor, Alex Bones, who runs the event has taken the decision to ban its use on the Drennan Knockout Cup round (round one).
Alex explained: "The decision was made because any anglers intending to travel to Lindholme to fish open matches in order to practise for the Drennan round will not be able to practise with meat baits anyway. Therefore it made sense to remove one complication for the anglers and ban its use on the day of the big match."
