England struggle after Day One in Serbia.

Drennan Team England have everything to do on the second day of the European Championship if they want to secure a medal, after a difficult first day saw them finish in seventh place.

Eastern European teams once again dominated proceedings, with Hungary leading the field with 22 points, and Poland sitting in second place with 25 points.

England co-manager Mark Addy explained: "The fishing was very difficult indeed. Even the bleak were tiny compared to those that we caught in practice, and the venue seemed patchy to say the least. We will be having a meeting tonight to decide how we approach the venue tomorrow. We need to pull out all the stops to stand a chance of winning a medal."

In the individual stakes, it was Lee Kerry, who made his debut appearance for England, who was the team's best performer. Lee was second in his section, with squad stalwart Des Shipp being the next best with a section fifth.
