Dent Does Double!

Same peg gives angler festival win, and place in £50k final.
When James Dent drew the noted Peg 16 on Twin Oaks on the final day of last week’s Dynamite Baits festival at White Acres, many people predicted it was a ticket to victory. So it proved – the Teesside ace bagged 170lb of carp, which built on his good results for the rest of the week to give him a perfect 36-point score – and victory in the 180-angler event.

Unbelievably, the next day saw the MAP and Marukyu-backed rod draw the very same peg in the qualifier for the £50,000 Maver 'Match This' final. Not only did the England Youth International romp to victory again, but he did so with the same weight of 170lb!

He commented: “I am over the moon to have won the Dynamite festival, and to qualify for the Maver 'Match This' Final the following day is a dream come true. I was in the final last year – and it is a great event to fish. I just hope my good luck holds out for this week’s Milo Festival!”
