Drennan Team England Struggle On Day One

England finding the going tough in Croatia.

After Day One of the 61st World Championships in Croatia, it is looking unlikely that Drennan Team England will be able to add another gold to their tally.

As was predicted the venue has proved to be an extremely tough nut to crack with many of the favoured teams struggling to get to grips with it. The draw also seemingly playing its part in the results.

Day One has seen Alan Scotthorne turn in England’s best performance with a solid 5th in section. World Champs debutant Callum Dicks impressed with a 7th in section, Des Shipp was 8th, Will Raison 11th and Sean Ashby 12th.

The official results are yet to come in but it is looking as though England will finish up in around 9th spot going into the second day.

Leading the way after Day One are Holland, who have scored a brilliant 18 points. Czech Republic are also believed to have done well.

We will post the official results as soon as they are released.
