Dynamite & Shimano 2015 Releases

Editor, Alex Bones, checks out what’s new…

To add to its already glowing portfolio of products, Shimano and Dynamite have some new additions for release before the end of this year. Match Fishing Editor, Alex Bones, visited the HQ to find out what’s in store.

First up is the new mid-price-range Super Ultegra AX Match and Feeder range of rods available in three match (float), five feeder versions and one winkle picker model to cover a multitude of disciplines.

Designed with performance and versatility in mind the feeder versions are available in lengths from 11ft to 14ft, the float ones in 13ft, 14ft and 15ft versions and the little winkle picker, which is likely to be a hit on many of today’s commercials, comes in one version, 8ft-9ft. SSPs start from £134.99.

There’s also a new range of slightly cheaper Aernos rods in both float and feeder versions, but be assured that Shimano has not compromised on quality or finish. There are enough versions available to cater for any angler’s needs. Prices start from £89.99.

Shimano are renowned for its superb reels and, once again, its latest additions didn't disappoint. The Rarenium’s have become super-popular; Shimano says it’s because of a standout performance and features in its price range. These new versions, the Rarenium CI4+ FB, not only look sleeker, but boast a whole host of features including the lightweight CI4+ material used, X-Ship and much, much more. Four sizes are available from 1000 to 4000 with SSPs starting at £174.99.

Alongside these are the Aernos and Nexave reels. The Aernos versions start at £84.99 and are the lowest-priced reel to include Shimano’s incredible X-Ship feature. These are available in sizes from 1,000 to 5,0000.

The Nexave FDs are loaded with features and sit at the budget end with prices starting at just £39.99.

There are also some other exciting reel developments, which we’ll be bringing to you after the Tackle & Guns Trade Show held in early October.

Whips are also new to the portfolio and a range of five are available from two metres through to four metres in half-metre increments.

So, onto Dynamite Baits, who has pulled out all of the stops. While it admits that it's working on another wave of products for early 2015 it's releasing a few exciting bits and pieces that are sure to be a popular sight on the bank.

Swim Stim Reloaded is a slightly different take on the ultra-popular Swim Stim groundbait. This is a different mix that offers more particles than the original version.

Next is Swim Stim Milled Expanders, which are exactly what they say on the bag. Crushed expander pellets have found favour with many anglers and this is Dynamite’s offering – no doubt to become one of 2015’s must-have products.

Premium Koi Expanders also slot into the range in three different colours alongside three new Extreme pastes, which are available in 150g re-sealable bags. This is a fibrous paste designed with effectiveness and ease of use in mind.

Alongside these were a few bits in the Dynamite carp ranges that we thought you’d also like. Premium Krill and Premium Squid liquids for pepping up pellets and groundbaits, pre-drilled 8mm Marine Halibut pellets in smaller re-sealable bags, Robin Red groundbait, following the success of the Robin Red pellets, and two ultra-concentrated hook bait dips – Monster Tiger Nut and the ever-consistent Source.

Check out forthcoming issues of Match Fishing magazine for more detailed information and prices on these launches.
