This clever idea helps to reduce liners when fishing the Method feeder or any legering tactics. They feature a clever locking system that allows them to be added or removed from the line without the need to tackle down. RRP: £1. 99.

Running line rules latest river contest. Steve Trivett won last Sundays open match on the Upper Trent at Shardlow, with an awesome 14-2-0 net. Drawn at Sherratts, Steve caught quality roach and perch on stick float tactics, feeding bronze maggots and fishing the same on the hook. It was a similar story for the runner up, Reg Whiston, who caught a 13-4-0 net from the Andressy section.

SCAC Winterleague Round 3 results Location of match: Sydney, Australia Date of match: 5/8/12 Number of pegs/anglers: 16 Report: The third and final round of the NSW SCAC winter league saw 15 anglers turn up on Caddis Creek in Sydney. Despite some cold clear nights all week and a light frost the night before the match, the consistent venue still produced plenty of bites for most with small carp and goldfish making up most of the weights. It was a close match again with only a few hundred grams separating the top 3. After a slow first hour and a half on the feeder a switch to the pole at 14.

Middy backed Andy Quarmby has been winning a lot of matches lately and it’s all thanks to making good decisions! Recent matches have highlighted one thing to me, making a key decision in a match is the difference between winning and being an also ran. Yes I know this may sound obvious but my recent encounters at Pans Hill highlight this quite well I think

Pans Hill Sunday match 29th July (Pans Lake)

Pans lake, for those who have never been, is a typical 14m wide snake with typical depths. It has a large head of mirrors and commons 1-3lb and F1s 6oz-2lb. Typical winning match weights in summer are usually between 80-130lb with plenty of bites to be had.
