Garbolino snap up Ian Giddins and Sophie Hill

Garbolino has added two more star anglers to its already impressive roster, by signing up Ian Giddins and Sophie Hill. 

Ian is based in the West Midlands and is a real big weight commercial specialist. Having already won several big festivals including the Larford Summer festival twice! A former runner-up of the prestigious £50,000 Match This final, Ian is no stranger to winning big events and will fit in very well at Garbolino.

Ian commented: “I’m delighted and looking forward to joining Garbolino, who I see as a very progressive brand in the UK!”

Sophie is one of the UK’s biggest prospects in ladies' match fishing and her goal is to make the England ladies squad in the near future. She is certainly heading the right way and is also showing the men how good she is on the open match scene; she also progressed convincingly through to the third round of the Drennan Knockout recently by winning her section on the Shropshire Union canal. Sophie is based in Kent but does a lot of travelling all around the country to help her improve her all-round ability. Sophie commented: “It’s great to be associated with Garbolino and I look forward to helping the brand as much as I can, it will certainly help me with my match fishing.”
