Hemingray Wins Rive Cup

England International Steve Hemingray impresses yet again on the elite stage by winning the prestigious Rive Drennan Cup.

Held on the vast 15km Lac Au Duc in Ploermel, France, The Rive Drennan Cup attracted 120 of the world’s finest anglers – but it was Steve who proved his class and took home the £2000 first prize.

With the pole only producing small fish, Steve turned to the waggler in search of the lakes better quality skimmers. Fishing at 25metres, Steve’s plan revolved around firing rich feed-laced balls accurately at his 8g-fixed waggler.

The plan worked perfectly as Steve scored maximum points over the two-day event. He was one of seven anglers sat on two section wins but Steve’s 25.64kg was enough to secure the title on weight.
