Ilfracombe Christmas match report...

Report: Ilfracombe match group, xmas match held at a new venue for the club "HARE PIE" was booked last year but as it was solid like most venues it didnt go ahead, as for this match the mild weather has been great! and some fish still coming to everybodys nets some more than others,
And Nealson Jefferys took a cracking bag of "LUMP" carp! 14 in total for 98lb 3oz! biggest fish going 15lb 8oz common. all taken on the pole and meat tight over to the island.
2ND place was Kevin Wilton with 42lb 11oz, that was 12 carp for 24lb and 17lb 11oz of chunky roach to 12oz.
3RD spot was Peter Slade with 25lb 1oz in total, all skimmers and roach and one lone carp. peter slade also won the silvers bag on the day with 23lb 9oz...
On the day the venue owner put up 5 quid to the biggest roach caught.... Paul Morris took a chunky 13oz red fin for biggest of the day.
Kevin Wilton has also won the Club angler of the year for the Ilfracombe club and will now enter the Garbolino Club angler of the year fish off at Tunnel Barn Farm around april time next year for a chance of a place in the big money final.... good luck kevin.
