Mazza In The Final!

FP1 Baits rod wins Hayfield 'Match This' qualifier.
FP1 Baits ace Steven Mazza has won this year's Maver 'Match This' qualifying match at Hayfield Lakes from Peg 32 on Adam's Lake. Steve opted to fish the pellet waggler using 8mm pellets on the hook, and tempted carp up to 8lb to finish the match with 115-00-00 and qualify for the Grand Final in style.

The fourth and latest Mega 'Match This' qualifier was attended by 65 anglers, and was the first hosted by Hayfield Lakes. Conditions on the day were difficult with a very strong wind spreading the fish around the lake. That being said, those anglers that did find the fish enjoyed some great sport and the best weights of the competition so far from Adam's Lake.

Stuart Gray (Hayfield Lakes) finished in second place returning 104-14-00 from Peg 70 also on Adam's Lake. Stuart fished meat down the inside to land quality carp up to 11lb and earnt himself a place in the British Pole Championships.

Match Fishing Scene's Mark O' Neill took third, weighing in 86-15-00 from Peg 5 on Island Lake. Mark fished bomb and pellet before switching to the margins for the last two hours of the match to book his place in this year's British Pole Championships.

Mega 'Match This' veteran Mark Stainsby finished in fourth place from Peg 15 on Adam's Lake. Mark fished bomb and pellet to end the match with 68-14-00.

Rounding off the top five was Mick Dewhurst (Ted Carter) with 66-12-00 from Peg 79 on Adam's Lake.
