Networking
Social networking and new media has been high on my to do list this month with us trying to find new ways of keeping in touch with our readers.
We strive to produce the best mag that we can but without feedback we can only guess as to what our readers like in terms of features. Facebook is perhaps the biggest and best way of being in touch with our readers but Twitter is what’s got me most excited!
I’ve never wanted to get involved with Twitter or Facebook on a personal level as I quite like my privacy, however I have recently set a Twitter account up to give my followers regular updates on what is going on at Match Fishing HQ. And what I have found is fantastic! Lots of anglers have bought into using Twitter and give regular updates on their fishing Steve Ringer is on there as well as lots of other top name anglers. One man who has really kept me interested is carp angler Jim Shelley, he updates almost every hour and says when carp are in his swim then when they are fizzing and then finally when he has caught one! Brilliant stuff and it seems that it is the way forward!
Our newsman Steve Phillips has also set up a Twitter account and is constantly adding new news stories about the wonderful world of fishing. For any of you out there who would like to follow us, add me on @carassjoe and for our news account add @AnglingNewsNow.
