New River Thames Festival

Exciting new three-day event on Oxford's River Thames.
River fishing maestro Paul Glenfield is to run a three-day festival on Oxford's River Thames. Taking place on the three prolific stretches of Abingdon, Radley and Medley, the event is expected to prove extremely popular among river anglers.

Paul explained: "People have been asking me for a while now if I could sort something out on the Thames, as most major river fishing circuits seem to have their own festival, yet we on the Thames haven't up until now.

"The fishing is truly excellent, though, with large shoals of roach, skimmers and chub for anglers to target. My aim is for the three-day event to start on September 3rd and run for three consecutive days. As it stands, the venues used will be Abingdon, Radley and Medley, but these could be subject to change depending on how the various stretches of the river are fishing.

"The cost will be £110 each, which includes all pools and peg fees. There will be five-peg section payouts, but sections of 10 for point scoring. The event is limited to 60 pegs, with money needing to be in by the end of July."
