'Match This' Champ has Fisho in his sights.
Former Maver 'Match This' Champion, Andy Power contemplated a lie in on Saturday, but was soon glad that he made the effort to get up after winning the year's first Fish 'O' Mania qualifier!

Andy was showing as 17th place on the reserve list on the day, but due to a no-show he went on to win at Viaduct Fishery, Somerset.

Andy, who fishes for Preston Innovation Thatchers was crowned Maver 'Match This' Champion back in 2011, and made contact with his first fish within minutes of the all-in. Fishing bomb and pellet he took several fish before switching to the pellet waggler with 10mm pellets fished at depth. He never looked back taking 19 carp to 16lb to record a fantastic winning weight of 179lb 14oz.

Wolverhampton ace Adam Rumble came second on the day, again taking an all-carp catch from Peg 114. Fishing the bomb with 8mm pellets, Adam took fish to 15lb to record 120lb 7oz.

In third place was Adam Mitchell of Swansea, who caught on bomb and waggler with bread to tip the scales to 103lb 8oz. David White of Viaduct Select fished the pole with pellets to take fourth place with 101lb 12oz.  

Qualifier number two will be at Preston Innovations Boldings, Bridgnorth on Saturday, 13th April, 2013 when the next Fish ‘O’ Mania grand finalist will be decided!
