Preston Innovations Goes Up For Sale!

David Preston, the man behind Preston Innovations, is selling the business after 30 years of success.

The Telford-based outfit is up for sale for a cool £25 million after being founded in 1984 by David Preston, the man who started what can only be described as one of the most popular tackle brands of all time.

Now well-established in the UK and Europe many of its products are on the ‘must-have’ list for today’s angler. Coupled with the fact that it employs in excess of 70 members of staff, along with England internationals such as Des Shipp, Tom Pickering and Lee Kerry as consultants, to name just a few, it isn’t expected to stay on the market for long.

As well as the match/pleasure brand Preston Innovations the company is also responsible for Korum, Avid and Sonubaits, and each brand has become a household name in its respective field.

David Preston said: “After 30 years in the industry the point has come where the foundation is strong and now is the time to consider opportunities that will secure the future of the brand.”

American buyers are believed to be interested and it’s likely that the sale will be secured by a trade buyer.
