Raison Joins Old Ghost!
England ace signs three year deal.
Will Raison has signed a three year consultancy deal with Chinese bait giants, Old Ghost. The move represents the former World Champions first sponsorship change in over 18 years, though his long standing tackle deal with Daiwa will continue.
Old Ghost officially launched their bait range in to the UK market earlier this year, and have already reported good sales.
John Watson, the company’s UK Sales Manager, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Will on board. He is one of the best anglers in the world, and an absolute dream signing. The really nice thing about the deal is that Will approached us – and is already a fan of our products.
Being a new kid on the block in terms of UK bait firms, gaining the trust of anglers is massively important, and having Will using the baits will be a great way of demonstrating their effectiveness.”
Will commented: “These are very exciting times – and after 18 years without a sponsorship change, it is great to be getting involved with a relatively new company on the UK market. Old Ghost is definitely a company that is going places – and already boasts an impressive portfolio.
Although the package I have been offered is extremely generous, I have always said that I would never change sponsorship for financial reasons alone – I am joining Old Ghost because they have a range of products I am keen to use.
