Sensas Sponsor Channel Islands

Captain delighted with new deal.
The Channel Islands have secured a sponsorship deal with tackle company Sensas.

Captain, Greig Owen explained: "This  will help us with our preparation for this year's World Championship, and for future world and European championships as well as any other events in the UK or France that we may attend. Finding the right tackle for the venues we use in these championships has always been a challenge for us living in a small group of islands. Even though Jersey tackle dealer, and squad member Eddie Read has always done his best to get the items needed, the sponsorship from Sensas means that items we need will be available. As well as tackle, the knowledge of venues that Sensas boasts, the contacts they also have throughout Europe will help us out tremendously in preparing for future championships.

"We understand that we are a very small nation with very limited success in these championships (Bronze Medal in 1992), so we are very honoured that Sensas offered us this deal. Hopefully we can start to improve on our results which I feel we have been doing in the last few years.

"Our team for this year's world championships is: myself, Graham Carver, Carl Waye, Gary Mourant and Anthony Carver. We also have Dean Stone as reserve. Thierry Theaudin of France and Patrick Weekers of Belgium will be acting as our managers."
