Tickets For Angling Trust Riverfest 2013 Selling Out Fast!
Counter shows some venues have less than 10 tickets remaining...
The Angling Trust has added a counter facility to the Riverfest 2013 page on its website which has revealed that some venues have as few as seven tickets remaining. The majority of venues have more than half of their tickets sold – and sales have only been officially open for a matter of days!
The event is the brainchild of former Match Fishing magazine editor Dave Harrell who has worked closely with the Angling Trust to get the competition off the ground. “We are delighted with how sales are going so far," Dave said. "The response really has been fantastic when you consider that just two months ago we hadn’t even booked a venue and were appealing for organisers to come forward!
"I must thank the people who have volunteered to organise the different qualifiers. It is really pleasing just how many people have got behind it and I am obviously not the only one who is mad keen to create a flagship event for river anglers!
"Although we can’t give too much away at present, we are currently in talks with sponsors and can confirm that the prize fund will be increased, though I can’t say for definite who the sponsor will be yet as we are still in negotiation.
"All in all, it’s a very exciting time to be a river angler. If any anglers out there are wanting to fish any of the qualifiers, I would advise them to get in quick, as this time next week a lot of the venues will probably be sold out!”
