To many people, dialling 999 is the first thing that comes to mind when faced with an emergency or crisis. But what happens if you have little or no signal, or if you have to use somebody elses phone, where the keypad is locked, or without credit?
A video is trending on YouTube explaining the merits of a different emergency number – 112. This has several advantages over the standard 999 number, in that it can be recognised in 70 Countries worldwide – and can often connect to an operator even when there is no signal on your network.
