A round up of the AT Upper Thames Winter League Round 3...

Kennet & Avon canal Brimslade, Farmers and Wolfhall
| 30th october, 2011
Number of anglers:
70

Due to the Bristol Avon fishing patchy on the practice match the previous week, round 3 was switched to the ever consistent Kennet and Avon canal near Marlborough. And taking advantage of this switch was Devizes match group's Kevin Rowles who was pegged on the Farmers section. Kevin took advantage of an end peg in C section by netting 11 bream/skimmers and 3 carp for a very impressive 29lb 31/2oz.

It was the same pound which took 3 of the remaining 4 frame places with Daiwa Gordon Leagues Andy Pollard netting 7 carp from peg 2 in A section for 18lb 2oz narrowly beating team Mate Martin Howard from the other end of the winners section Martin also had carp in his weight of 17lb 14oz, but had the last laugh as Andy arrived to the draw too late to pay into the super pool.

Also benefiting from a bit of superpool money was Rob Randall of Garbolino Blackmore Vale who was drawn at the other end of the match length on K section and had a very different net to the top 3 anglers, Rob netted 240 roach and 2 skimmers for 11lb 11oz
