England feeder team pairing Adam Wakelin and new UK Champion Rob Wootton are setting a blistering pace in the World Pairs in Ireland.

Arguably the two most in-form anglers in the UK at the moment, the dynamic duo have a colossal 42 kilo lead over the second placed pairing of Steve and Phil Ringer.

Caught on a mix of both pole and feeder tactics, Adam and Rob are proving unstoppable having caught weights to a fantastic 28 kg, with roach, skimmers, hybrids and perch making up the catches.

With the event being decided on weight, the event is still far from won for the pair, but it would take a phenomenal last two days for the chasing pack to catch the leaders.
