Young Lions Roar To Victory

Glory for England in World Youth Championship.
England's juniors have won the World Championship in France, with a record 10-point score. They have also taken the top four individual placings – a feat which isn't believed to ever have been achieved before.

Manager Steve Sanders was ecstatic with the results. "The lads have all fished brilliantly, and have done me and their country proud," he commented. The team was made up of Matt Barnett, Joe Kent, Sam Hughes and Bradley Gibbons. Tom Moretti was the reserve.

The intermediate team – made up of James Dent, Matt Godfrey, Matt Derry, Rory Jones and reserves Oliver Scotthorne and Alex Clements – have also delivered the goods, finishing with a silver medal, behind winners, Hungary. It is thought that Hereford's Rory Jones will finish with an individual silver or bronze.
