Brim full of great content... Match Fishing April 2025
We’ve made it though winter and spring is here at last… but that’s not to say it hasn’t been cold! We’ve a mix of great features for you this month, with NuFish man Joe Carass on the cover proving that it’s been cold enough to put cat ice on the lake, but there are still plenty of fish to be caught if you go about it properly. Meanwhile top feeder man Darren Cox discusses whether to use a Method or Hybrid feeder and when to go with a bomb and bag approach for big carp at Barston.
Nick Speed shows his pace as he chases down a big bag of springtime F1s on pellets at Lindholme and Luke Bamford proves it’s not too early to try meat with a session at Tunnel Barn Farm. Just to add even more variety, we take a look back with Steve Ringer as he travelled to Belgium to tackle the margin monsters on a Carpodrome, using an approach you probably wouldn’t see over here. His choice of baits is literally food for thought and should whet your appetites for the warmer weather fishing to come.
All this plus our regular diary piece from Andy Power, while Cam Hughes and Kye Jerrom take you through their results in the recent AT Winter League final, we follow John Harvey through a practice match for the Silver Fish final at Southend Farm, and learn a little bit about former Masters Feeder World Champion Simon Fry.
There are tackle reviews of the all-new MAP G60 pole, Daiwa Spectron Distance Ultra Rods and N’ZON 24 Plus Distance Reel, plus a chance to win one of two Guru N-Gauge Pro feeder rods.
