World Championship battle too close to call.
The battle for the World Championship is too close to call, with just a couple of points seperating England and Poland. Going into the closing stages of the match, it is thought that England may be just edging the race, but with bigger fish now feeding throughout the match length, nothing can be taken for granted.

Match Fishing's man on the bank, Matt Godfrey explained: "Myself and Callum Dicks have worked out that the most points England could have, including yesterdays score, is 27. This would mean Poland would need 13 points to draw with us, or 12 points to beat us. They could be close to this score, but one of their anglers could be as low as ninth in section, which would leave them needing four section wins to stand a chance. It is possible that they could have this though, and all the estimates are essentially based on guess work, so anything is possible."

Things haven't got any better for Will Raison in A section, who is ranked as being ninth in section at best. The former World Champion is struggling for bites, while others in his section are catching better fish. Des Shipp is somewhere between third and fifth, and has clawed back a shakey start by landing a bonus skimmer, and is now catching roach steadily. Sean Ashby is putting in a good performance, and is estimated at being second or third in his section.

Meanwhile, Steve Hemingray and Alan Scotthorne are both winning their sections, and with both having also recorded a perfect score yesterday, it is thought that they both could be in with a shout of an individual medal. In the event of a tie for gold, it is thought that Steve would beat Alan on weight difference.

The match is due to finish at 13:30 GMT, after which we will endeavor to update you as quickly as possible with the result.
