Made from the same, premium three-layer GORE-TEX material that is waterproof, windproof and breathable and with the same super-high quality finish this is a slightly different garment to your usual jacket or fleece.

Halkon Hunt says it’s designed primarily with the feeder angler in mind, but with that said it could be used for any style of fishing in reality. It’s packed with features and is guaranteed to keep you dry on the bank. It features a generous hood with elasticated draw cords and a peak to keep the rain and wind out, too. There’s a zippable front storage pouch as an integral part of the smock and a second, removable fleece lined pouch designed to keep your hands toasty. This removable ‘pouch’ attaches with a zip at the top and velcro at the base meaning you can remove it if you don’t need it, but attach it when you do. Nifty.There’s a zippable collar, which allows for room underneath if you want to layer it up with a hoody and scarf or neck warmer, for example. The cuffs feature Velcro adjusters and the bottom of the smock features an elasticated band around the base.

Of course, the zips feature the usual GORE-TEX tabs so they’re easy to grab with wet or cold hands and I can really see this being a perfect fit for a lot of anglers. They look very smart (as always with HH) and they can be customised both with colour and logos as per all of their other garments.

It’s lightweight and designed as an external layer, being windproof, waterproof and breathable. So you can easily wear another fleece, hoody (or both) underneath when you really need to keep the cold out.

The removable hand warmer pouch is something I think will find favour with many. Especially on those cold-water feeder matches where you might be waiting some time for a bite or two.Available in four different design options and a huge array of sizes the smock will be made to your custom requirements upon ordering.
