Middy 50in Sure-Dri Umbrellas

As much as most of us dislike fishing underneath an umbrella they can be an absolutely essential piece of kit to carry, especially in the winter months. When it’s cold and raining you need to keep dry to stay warm and while a good set of clothing is an absolute must, so too is a good umbrella.

Middy has recently launched these two new 50in models – available in square and round shapes. Personally the square shape appeals to me as it’s easier to pin one side down to the floor and offer you shelter. However, the round one is possibly a better option if you prefer to fish with the umbrella directly above your head.

Both feature fully taped seams to prevent water ingress, an adjustable pole with an ergonomic and strong tightening bolt, protected tips with fabric fastening, a protected bell cap, a tilt mechanism and they come complete with a packaway sleeve. The material is fully waterproof and lightweight 210 denier, meaning that you can stay dry and comfortable in the worst weather allowing you to concentrate fully on your fishing.
