McGoldrick & Brettel retake top spot.
In a dramatic comeback Dave Brettel and Francis McGoldrick have retaken the top spot in this years World Pairs Angling Championship. They now lead the pack with a lead of almost seven kilos over first place, and 23 kilos over tenth place. The result comes after a brilliant third day for the pair, who both won their sub sections, and added a combined weight of 47.320kg to their tally.

The day also put Francis back on top of the individual Daiwa Cup competition. He is in front of fellow Irishman, Cathal Hughes by a margin of just 430g.
