New teams-of-six league filling up fast!The Matrix and Van Den Eynde-backed teams-of-six league, which will run this winter, is filling up fast, according to organisers Sam Wildsmith and Tom Scholey. With a maximum of 12 team places available, the league has already attracted eight teams, meaning there are just four places available. League co-organiser Tom Scholey said: "Sam Wildsmith and I have been really happy with the interest we have received, and with eight teams already signed up, and plenty of interest for the other places, we fully expect the league to sell out. "With generous sponsorship from Matrix, Van Den Eynde and Sam's tackle shop, Mill Tackle, a good payout will be guaranteed, both on each individual round and on the league overall.
Teal Attends Lymm AC match. Sunday 15th September saw round four of the Lymm AC Juniors Autumn Series taking place on New Pool. The weather forecast was pretty grim with torrential rain and gale-force winds. This week it was bread week and all the competitors were restricted to using bread plus one other hook bait.

Forty anglers contested the event on a tough Barston Lake chilled by the previous day's heavy rain. The contest was split into two three-hour sessions (feeder only in the morning; pole only in the afternoon) with anglers fishing the same peg for each heat. No-one scored a perfect two points so it was a tie for first between Graham and Steve Wilson, both on three points.

Duo win over £20,000 in prize money. Cathal Hughes and Phillip Jackson have won the World Pairs Angling Championship for the second year running, after a close final-day battle. The Daiwa and MatchCraft-backed duo recorded a combined total weight of 185. 280kg, putting them over 17kg clear of runners-up Steve and Phil Ringer.
Scotthorne leads section, but Shipp struggles. Drennan Team England have got off to a mixed start on the second day of the 2013 World Championship in Poland. Five Times World Champion Alan Scotthorne is leading from the front, winning his section with half an hour of the match gone. Although the going is tough in his section, Alan has taken more than a dozen fish, and is comfortably ahead of second place.

Close battle between Poland and England. As the second day of the World Championships moves past its halfway point, England are locked in a very close battle with host nations, Poland. The local experts are performing well in every section, targetting bleak in the difficult areas and roach in the more productive zones. That said, outstanding performances by England's Steve Hemingray, and Alan Scotthorne, who are both winning their sections is thought to be keeping England nudged in front of the home nation.
