When we’re looking at the ‘larger’ purchases of angling equipment, price is absolutely key for most people. Well, let me start by saying that this box comes in at a whisker under £350, yes £350, which represents a fantastic price for what you’re getting here.

It’s designed as a complete station offering six fully adjustable 36mm legs. When the box is fully assembled (with the sliding footplate extended) you’re getting a generous 790mm x 760mm footprint, which should offer a super-stable base for any angler out there. However, Nytro does also describe this as a compact space-efficient box too, so you’re getting the best of both here. 

The legs all feature swivelling mudfeet to cope with all types of terrain and the fact that all six legs are fully adjustable will enable you to get the box perfectly level in 99 per cent of scenarios. Talking of getting the box level, the two integrated spirit levels will allow you to achieve a perfectly level seat box across all axes. And, we all know how important a level foundation is to a comfortable day’s fishing, don’t we!The frame is black in colour and made from aluminium to help keep the weight down, without compromising on strength or durability. And the oversized Nytro hand wheels are all easy to grip and rotate to make all of the adjustments you might need. The box can be easily disassembled for transport too (if needed). This configuration includes two generous 40mm side drawers to house your essentials as well as two other shallow storage areas (one under the seat and one under the drawers) for storing smaller/shallower items like pole rig winders, spools of line and the like.

On the top of the box sits a padded seat with a pole retaining strap and the clip system is easy to use and access for ultimate convenience. The padded strap can be removed easily via the included clips and the retaining slots for the strap, which are located on either side of the box, prevent the seat box from tipping over when lifting or carrying the box via the strap. Two of the legs feature threaded inserts in the top, which is designed to allow you to easily and conveniently attach accessories without the need for additional accessory arms.The frame design is very modern, utilising the minimalist ‘Z’ type design to limit the amount of material needed. This helps to keep the weight of the box in check without compromising structural rigidity or strength. I think for the price it looks like it represents a very good buy and, of course, Nytro offers a whole range of side trays and accessories for you to add on to truly build it into the ultimate station to suit your fishing.
