Weights on this match were kept down due to the very strong wind making fishing long poles impossible for all but a few. However most got plenty of bits even so. Swan Hotel Open, Radcot and Clanfield | 11th September 2011 | Number of anglers: 38Yet again no Chub or Bream showed themselves with only a trio of Tench boosting the weights of the 1st and 2nd anglers. Winner on the day was Time Kaye pegged at Radcot downstream.

Two wins on the trot for Lee Payling as Holmedale sees the two ton weights taken in Wednesday's match. Holmedale Lake Wednesday 31/8/1124 fished Daz Stakey had a compfortable win midweek. Alternating between the scoop feeder with pellet cast to the island and the pole and meat fished at 11m and down the margin he kept the fish coming, with carp up to 7lb being bought to his peg 21. Next to him the fishery owner Mick Langton had a bad middle of the match, loosing 10 carp in a row.

A midweek mixed bag with good figures from Phase One's Lake Two but hard fishing on Phase Three. WEDNESDAY ‘KOBRA’ OPEN31 August 2011LAKE TWO DYNAMITE MAKINS21 fishedAlthough fish were again showing all round Lake Two for the Wednesday KOBRA Open, Coalville’s Pete Wood on peg A20 was a clear winner with 126lb – beating second by nearly 25lb. Pete started on the feeder, but after a few early carp sport slowed so he switched to pellet waggler fished to the boom to catch steadily for the remainder of the match. Second placed Shane Desmond (Dynamite Baits) on peg A4 caught on pellet and bomb for his 101-04 second placed weight, just edging out Nuneaton Nomad Jim Innes (peg A14) whose 101-02 carp catch all fell to pellet waggler.

Well it has been a hectic month for me. For a start I had the awesome Evesham Festival to fish. This was my first experience of the Evesham weekend so I was hoping to get amongst the considerable prize money! I managed to draw Peg 9 on the Shakespeare match and although a good area for section points it generally isn’t good enough to win the match. I chose to fish for roach for the first three hours and apart from about 50 tiny fish, my match was no going well.
