Major changes planned for the Angling Trust Winter League The Angling Trust has changed the structure of the Winter League. The aim is to improve satisfaction among existing Winter League anglers and attempt to introduce new teams and anglers to the league. The changes have been introduced following a survey conducted by the Angling Trust to gather the thoughts and opinions of anglers about how the trust could improve the Winter League. The results of the survey were clear and that change was required if the Winter League was to see an upward turn in satisfaction and participation.

If you’re thinking about shelling out for a pole around the £1,000 mark, don’t do anything until you’ve read this! Alex Bones takes the new Daiwa Match Winner for a whirl. Having heard rave reviews about this pole in the run-up to its launch I was already expecting good things. A trip to Warwickshire’s Makins Fishery saw me on Reptile Pool where an island at full length, 14. 4 metres, and a fishy-looking margin were to be the prime target areas for a no-holds-barred test session.

Preston innovations England Feeder Team take double gold at the World Championship At the fourth time of asking the England Feeder team blew away the opposition to take a wonderful Gold medal – their first since the competition's inception. Held on Inniscarra Lake in Southern Ireland, the England team totalled just 26 points over the two days – a staggering 36 points ahead of runners-up Ireland. A true ‘Method’ water, Inniscarra turned out to be a fair arena for the championship, which allowed the team to really show their ability on an even playing field. The fishing was all about catching skimmers of various sizes at short range.
