EDAA vs Taunton Interclub match report EDAA vs Taunton Association Interclub| 18/03/12 Number of pegs/anglers: 25 Report: Ten anglers from Taunton Angling Association travelled down for the return fixture hosted by Exeter at their Kia Ora fishery in Cullompton. With 25 fishing in total the match had to be split with 8 on the silver and 17 on the gold pond. The club had recently stocked 700 small carp into the silver lake so it was hoped this could provide a reasonable days fishing for everyone. There had been a hard overnight frost in Cullompton overnight and on the day the weather was changeable with some blustery wind and cold showers.

Edenderry two day festival resultLocation of match: Grand canal Edenderry Co. Offaly Date of match: 15/16th JulyNumber of pegs/anglers: 18Report: 18 anglers turned out for the Edenderry two day festival on Saturday and Sunday on the grand canal Edenderry. Saturdays match was held on the Toberdaly venue and with the weather it was more like a winter league venue than a mid July one. The conditions meant the fishing was always going to be hard, and Tommy Burke from peg 11, fishing tight across at 14.

Meadowlands Teams Of 3, Round 2 Sunday 19th January 2014 48 pegs, 16 teams of 3 Both Lambsdown and Warren pools fished hard for most of the 48 competitors in Round Two, but Jamie Galloway made no mistakes off end Peg 5 to win the match. He bagged nine carp to 12lb on corn fished down the edge for a 62lb 12oz winning haul. Drennan-backed Jon Arthur was 2nd with 11 carp and a bream for 53lb 8oz on Method feeder, bomb and edge tactics while the best weight on Lambsdown was Lee Davis who managed a few quality carp topped up with skimmers for 53lb 2oz. On the team front, Tusses Tackle posted a fine 11-point winning score but are still behind league leaders Lowdown after two rounds.

Coming out on top from peg 45 was Clive Branson, who found quality roach on hempseed fished down the middle of the river. The former Welsh International loosefed hemp on a long pole line, and fished a strung out rig over the top, with roach to 1lb coming to his net.

Top on the day was Quorn rod Tony Marshall. Fishing his trademark long pole approach approach, Tony caught quality roach on hempseed to top the field with a cracking 22-4-0.

There were some surprises in the results this year for all the teams taking part in the European Coarse Angling Championships in Opole, Poland from 25th – 26th June 2011. Drennan Team England consisted of; Mark Downes and Mark Addy (Joint Managers), Alan Scotthorne, Steve Gardener, Will Raison, Sean Ashby, Darren Cox and Steve Hemmingray. Drennan Team England averaged around 250gm per angler per day on practice with some perch to be caught so the team targeted them and the bleak that averaged around 180 to the kilo. There were tiny fish to be caught around 0.

The winner, club member, ROGER FOWLES caught more consistently than others with a good net of small silvers and a nice common to around 4lb to make up his winning weight of 7lb 8oz. WELL DONE ROGER. Second was guest CRAIG RITCHIE who fished opposite peg to winner to get a good bag of mixed silvers for 5lb 2oz and finally third on the day was RYAN SMITH with a good bag of roach to 4lb 2oz.
