Ilminster AA members fished round six of the evening league at Dillington on Wednesday in very weight and windy conditions. Dillington Pond, Somerset. 06/07/11, 5 fished. Despite the conditions weights were very good for the three hour fixture.

Ilminster AA, 23/10/11River Isle, Somerset7 fished Round two of the Royal Oak winter league saw the anglers on the Isle again but the river desperately needs rain. The weights were once again decent and everyone caught with lots of small dace and chublets featuring in catches. Justin Charles had a cracking day catching 21lb of mainly dace on the stick float and caster from peg 126 (Barney's Bend) at Isle Brewers.

Due to the failing light the match was shortened by 15 minutes but weights were still good with some nice rudd being caught. The river was painfully low and clear but weights were much better than expected. Jamie Rich drew peg 14 and caught chub, dace and perch for a winning 12lb 2oz on the pole and caster.
Ilminster AA members held round eight of the Summer League at Dillington on Sunday. Conditions were bright and sunny and it was hard going for some. Fishing the whip and maggot on peg 10, Martin caught over 150 fish for 8lb 10oz.
Round four of the Irish Float Team qualifiers stepped up a gear with great sport on the Newry canal.
Match four of the Irish Float Team Qualifiers proved to be the most successful yet, both in terms of the numbers of fish caught and the total weight caught by the anglers. Top individual angler of the day was Nick Howell (Tyrone) with 80 fish for 4. 080Kgs of Roach, Perch and Hybrids on peg 14.

Holloway & Wilkinson to fish big-money championship
The Matrix-sponsored Evesham Junior and Intermediate Championship took place last weekend, with the winner of each match booking themselves a place in the big-money Evesham Championship final, taking place on the Saturday of the Evesham Festival weekend.
Junior match winner Jordan caught a bream on flatfloat tactics, and several roach, perch and skimmers for a 9-13-0 total from Peg 1.
Runner-up, Natalie Aylett fished maggot feeder from Peg 6, to finish with a 5-1-0 net of perch and eels. Third placed George Organ also caught perch and eels, though he found pole tactics to work best on the day.
Big Trent bags prove fitting memorial to Nottinghamshire angler. Keith Fretwell was remembered in style last weekend, as his beloved River Trent threw up several big weights of fish. Coming out on top was Clowne rod Phil Turner, who weighed in a 52-9-0 net of bream to take victory. He fished a groundbait feeder with maggot and worm on the hook, casting one third of the way across the river.
